Dr. Bikash Aich (Director Research and Projects)
A researcher in bio-organics and a postgraduate in pharmacy, Dr. Aich is one of the co founders of geneOmbio Technologies. His doctoral research work is on herbal antibiotics that itself is the source of idea behind the birth of the company. He has also worked in different capacities in several pharmaceutical companies and had been instrumental in launching various successful brands. A result oriented person, both in research and marketing, he has several scientific publications to his credit in the area of molecular biology and pharmacology and one of his pioneering works has been filed for a patent.
Mr. Sachin Purohit (Managing Director)
A new generation, enthusiastic entrepreneur, Mr. Sachin holds a degree in international management from Thunderbird, the American Graduate school of International management, one of the reputed business schools for international business in the world. He has co founded Resilient Cosmoceuticals, a pharmaceutical marketing company, running successfully for the past 7 years with a team of over 100 employees.
He has also worked for pharmaceutical market research companies in the United States and has successfully completed projects for reputed companies such as Microsoft Pharmacia Upjohn. He is also the proud recipient of the P&U scholarship at Thunderbird School of International Management. Mr. Sachin is gifted with excellent leadership qualities, has focus on the industry and possess keen sense of entrepreneurship.
Dr. Pratap N. Mukhopadhyaya (Chief Executive Officer)
Dr. Pratap N. Mukhopadhyaya is a postgraduate in plant sciences with specialization in microbiology, with his doctoral research programme at Bose Institute, Calcutta. Dr. Pratap was associated with the National Dairy Development Board, for more than eight years in his capacity as a scientist and worked primarily in the area of molecular genetics of cattle and buffalo. He was actively involved in genetic analysis of livestock animals for milk production traits and congenital disorders.
He developed a candidate recombinant vaccine against cattle ticks in India using advanced genetic engineering techniques and also worked on molecular basis of biological control of round worms in cattle to identify genes involved in nematophagous activity in fungi through differential display technology.
Dr. Pratap is a pioneer to undertake AFLP analysis of buffalo for the first time and his work was published in a widely referred international journal on buffalo research.
Dr. Pratap has keen interest in the area of molecular diagnostics. He has developed protocols and probes for detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, HIV Type-I and Human Papilloma virus to name a few. He further developed protocols for identification of SNPs in genes related to human health such as SNP identification within the PPAR gamma gene in human that is known to be linked to type-2 diabetes.
He is a member of the Indian Society of Mycology and Plant Pathology, Society of Biological Chemists of India and Asian-Australasian Association of Animal Production Societies, Korea. He is also an honorary project reviewer for department of Biotechnology, government of India in the area of animal genetics.
Dr. Pratap has more than 23 national and international full length research publications to his credit. He has submitted 35 novel gene sequences in the electronic domain through genebank, USA. He has published 2 popular articles and 18 scientific abstracts in different national and international conferences.
According to him, molecular biology is a religion and can not be restricted to a definite domain or life system. He was actively involved in administrative roles at different laboratories in different levels & capacity and his career path speaks of a rare amalgamation of continued diversification, steady growth, unmatched motivation and sharp focus on modern biotechnology.
Rajendra Pratap Gupta
Rajendra Pratap Gupta is a science graduate with Executive Education from IIM-A, Kellogg School of management & Harvard Business School , USA . He has worked with leading corporations like IMS Health, AC Nielsen, Medicine Shoppe Intl.Inc.-India , Reliance group at senior positions. In his last assignment at Reliance, he headed the Retail, supply chain, disease management companies. He was also on the board of two Reliance group companies. He was involved in the strategy and execution of TPA company, investments in healthcare ventures of Reliance Health, besides the healthcare ventures at Reliance infocom. Currently, he pursues board positions as his full time profession. Helping companies in strategy formulation, execution and fund raising. He serves as a director on board of companies in India and USA across sectors like Retail, hospital chains, logistics, DTH, Biotech, IT, Diagnostics, disease management & digital imaging.
